Yakindu CReMa - the nice thing on top of eclipse

Yakindu CReMa is so nice like the crema on top of a good coffee and stands for "Cross Relationship Manager". This generic and extensible Eclipse tool provides the management of relations between various elements.

In our research project VERDE (VERification-oriented & component-based model Driven Engineering for real-time embedded systems) we are developing requirements management tools. My colleague Andreas Graf and Nirmal Sasidharan have already written a few blog articles about our activities in this project. On the one hand we are co-developing ProR as a requirements editor based on the RIF/ReqIF standard. And on the other hand we are developing Yakindu CReMa especially as a requirements tracing tool. Requirements tracing is one use case alongside others that can be maintained with this tool. Yakindu CReMa consists of a core framework and additional trace point provider implementing the integration of various Eclipse editors and views. Please consider that we do not modify the content of those editors or views.

Yakindu CReMa Architecture

Currently, we have trace point provider for ProR, Papyrus UML, Yakindu Statechart Tools, Yakindu Damos, and Eclipse Project Explorer. Others will follow. The implementation of such a trace point provider for other editors or views is straight forward. Here is a screencast demonstrating Yakindu CReMa.

Well done

Hi Ömer,
nice work so far!
Is there a plan to integrate CReMa with the upcoming release of YAKINDU SCT 2.0 ?
Keep up the good work,
Andreas

Thank you

Hi Andreas,
thank you!
Yes, definitely. I will implement the integration in the next days.
